Silicon Valley Podcast - 1st Month of PodTech June Stats

With one first month under my belt at PodTech.net I have some stats to share.  I have to say that I wasn't expecting this kind of response.  Apparently the format and content is being consumed.  This is classic long tail or as Jeff Weiner of Yahoo said at Supernova "more content will be developed and consumed - classic fuse"  - It's exciting.  I'm looking forward to expanding.  Looking forward to collaborating with folks working to make Podcasting a real positive force for users in getting voices heard and changing lives.

Podcast Advertising - Podcasting Ad Model

I was quoted in the ClickZ article today by Kevin Newcomb. 

I'm always happy to talk to the press and educate anyone on podcasting but in this case I think that the title of the article is misleading.  Podcasting doesn't face any challenges at all.  If anything it's a very bright outlook for podcasting advertising.  Podcasting is a very viable communication mechanism to reach customers and with the consumption patterns emerging there will be advertising. 

Teresia Gouw Ranzetta, Partner Accel Partners talks about this in my podcast with her titled "The New Trend of Focused Media"  - Advertising matters with Podcasting.  I will be putting up her podcast this week at PodTech.net

Smart marketing folks are already embracing this new approach you don't have to look any further than Yahoo, Microsoft, and Barracuda Networks..

iTunes Podcast and Silicon Valley iTunes Podcasts

I got my PodTech.net InfoTalk podcasts up on iTunes on Friday.  Nice bump up on traffic.  This is already changing how I will be organizing my site.  Traffic is exploding with iTunes.  Can't wait to see what Yahoo has for us podcasters.  Yahoo is doing some very interesting work in this area.
